Turo Australia Host Referral Terms

To be eligible for the referral incentive, both the referring host ("Referrer") and the referred host ("Referred Host") must meet the criteria outlined below. Please read these terms and conditions carefully to understand the requirements and restrictions.

1. Referrer (A) Payout Eligibility

  • The Referred Host (B) must achieve the below qualification criteria.

  • The Referrer (A) must have an active Turo host account.

  • There is no limit to the number of referrals a Referrer (A) can make. 

  • The Referrer (A) will receive a $300 incentive for each Referred Host who meets the incentive qualification criteria outlined above.

$2000 Milestone Incentive

  • The Referrer (A) will receive a $2000 incentive once they successfully refer five (5) New Referred Hosts (B). Payouts will be made the month following the final qualifying Referred Host (B) reaching their eligibility event so long as the Referred Host’s vehicle is still listed at time of payment.

    • Example: John refers five hosts. Four of his referrals successfully meet the qualifications in January. His last referred host meets the eligibility criteria in February. John will receive his $2,000 incentive in March, once payments for February are processed. 

$300 Early bird Incentive

  • The Referrer (A) will receive a $300 incentive if their first Referred Host (B) listed their car, by Monday November 20th 23:59:59 AEDT. This will be paid out only once Referred Host (B) hits their qualifying milestone, which has triggered the standard $300 payout to both (A) and (B).

    • Example: John refers his first friend, David. David lists their first car on Saturday November 16th making John eligible for the $300 Early Bird incentive. David goes on to successfully meet the qualifying criteria in December. In January David receives $300 and John receives $600 ($300 standard referral incentive + $300 Early bird incentive)

  • The Referred Host’s (B) listing, as with all listings on Turo Australia, are reviewed to meet our marketplace standards and terms. Should the listing be restricted, we will provide written guidance on what must change to the Referee (B). Failing to act upon the guidance will mean the vehicle remains restricted and will not complete the necessary trips to hit their qualifying milestone.

$300 Easter Incentive

  • The Referrer (A) will receive an additional $300 incentive if their first Referred Host (B) listed their car by Sunday April 6th 23:59:59 AEDT with a listed address in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Tasmania or Gold Coast. Turo will not pay out this Easter incentive until the Referred Host (B) also reaches their qualifying milestone for the standard $300 payout.

    • Example: Frank refers his first friend, Mark. Mark lives in Gold Coast and lists their first car on Wednesday April 2nd making Frank eligible for the $300 Easter incentive. David goes on to successfully meet the qualifying criteria in June. In July Mark receives $300 and Frank receives $600 ($300 standard referral incentive + $300 Easter reward)

  • The Referred Host’s (B) listing, as with all listings on Turo Australia, are reviewed to meet our marketplace standards and terms. Should the listing be restricted, we will provide written guidance to the Referred Host (B) on what must change. Failing to act upon the guidance will mean the vehicle remains restricted and will not complete the necessary trips to hit their qualifying milestone.

Free photoshoot Incentive

  • The Referrer (A) will receive a complimentary photoshoot if they refer 3 eligible hosts (B) by December 31st 23:59:59 AEDT. An eligible host is a new host that lists a vehicle (that has previously never been listed on Turo) by Tuesday, December 31st 23:59:59 AEDT.

  • The complimentary photoshoot incentive is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefit.

  • The photoshoot will be scheduled within 60 days of the third eligible referral meeting the listing requirement. The complimentary photoshoot includes professional photos of the listed vehicle that meet Turo’s marketplace standards. Turo will retain ownership of all assets created during the photoshoot, whilst the images will be uploaded the host’s Turo vehicle profile with the “verified photos” badge.

  • The exact timing and location of the photoshoot will be arranged by Turo in agreement with the host, and is subject to availability.

2. Referred Host (B) Qualification Criteria

  • The Referred Host (B) must be a new host to Turo and have not completed any prior vehicle listings on the platform.

  • The Referred Host (B) must complete either (whichever occurs first):

    • Three (3) trips, or

    • Fifteen (15) trip days. A "trip day" is defined as a day that is part of a successfully completed trip.

The qualifying events mentioned above must be completed within six months of filling out the registration form

  • The Referred Host (B) must maintain a 0% cancellation rate until they achieve the qualifying milestone.

  • The Referred Host (B) must have at least one listed vehicle at the time of payout. 

  • The Referred Host’s (B) listed physical address on Turo must not match that of the Referrer (A)

  • For a trip/day to count toward the referral requirements, the booked vehicle must never have been listed on Turo prior to the referral and must have a listed address in Australia.

  • The Referred Host (B) must register for the referral by completing the referral registration form, which can be found by clicking on the Referrer's (A) unique referral link.

    • The Referred Host's (B) Turo email address and phone number must match the email address and phone number provided in the referral registration form to be eligible for the referral.

  • Any eligible vehicles can not be listed on another Turo host’s account in the future, if found earnings will be deducted from the future host’s account.  

  • Bookings made by friends or family of the Referred Host (B) or Referrer (A) will not count toward the referral requirements. Turo may use IP address data, geolocation, or other reasonable mechanisms to assess the likelihood of fraud or abuse.

  • Turo retains the right to withhold payment if there is suspicion of fraudulent activity or abuse of the referral program.

3. Payout Details

  • Referral program payouts will be made to both the Referrer and Referred Host on a monthly basis.

  • Payouts will be processed within 15 days of the start of each payout month.

4. General Terms

  • Turo reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral program, or these terms and conditions, at any time without prior notice.

  • Turo's decision on any disputes regarding eligibility or payout will be final and binding.

  • By participating in this referral program, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
